<image:caption>Jonathan Isaac Jackson, M.F.A. is a filmmaker, Paul Robeson Award recipient, and founder of The Colored Section, a New Orleans–based production company grounded in the principles of Third Cinema, a global movement dedicated to decolonizing filmmaking, audiences, and cinematic storytelling. His first feature documentary, Big Chief, Black Hawk, was nominated for Best Documentary by the American Black Film Festival (2021) and the Black Reel Awards (2022), named the top Hollywood South film of 2021 by NOLA.com, and acquired by American Documentary and WORLD Channel in 2022. His second feature, Who In Da Mornin, was produced and filmed in The Bahamas and has screened throughout the United States, the Caribbean, and Europe, including with the British Film Institute. His most recent project, The Black Narratives, is a series of interconnected short films spanning the years 1618–2143. Executive produced by Wendell Pierce and Erika Woods, the series combines oral history, archival anthropology, and Yoruba cosmology to trace the spiritual and cultural continuity of the African Diaspora across centuries of displacement and resistance. Jonathan holds an MFA in Film from Vermont College of Fine Arts. His work seeks to develop a cinematic language that illuminates the celebrations, rituals, and living memory of Black communities while affirming the enduring connections between African-descended peoples and their ancestors.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Kimberly Rodgers is a queer Black storyteller, facilitator, and community builder dedicated to disrupting systems of inequity and advancing collective liberation. Fascinated by the power of narrative, she explores how dominant cultural stories shape our understanding of the world and our place within it. Her work focuses on helping individuals and communities examine and unlearn the ways they have been socialized by what she calls “The Hex,” a web of interconnected systems including anti-Blackness, patriarchy, capitalism, heteronormativity, ableism, and imperialism. Through critical inquiry, contemplative practice, and dialogue, Kimberly creates spaces that encourage deeper self-awareness and meaningful social change. In 2025, she launched Breaking The Hex, an evolving initiative designed to help people bridge the gap between their desire for a more just world and their readiness to participate in creating it. The project challenges the notion that transformation happens solely through external systems by inviting participants to examine their own roles within structures of oppression and responsibility. Kimberly is also the founder of CopyThat Consulting, where she provides organizational strategy, strategic communications, and stakeholder engagement support to mission-driven organizations and visionary leaders. She is an alumna of the National Collaborative for Health Equity’s Culture of Health Leadership Institute for Racial Healing and the Desmond & Leah Tutu Foundation’s Leading for Humanity Program.</image:caption>
