Self-R/evolution: Black Feminism, Liberation, and the Work of Becoming

$25.00

Many of us can easily identify injustice in the world around us. What is often more difficult is recognizing how systems of inequality shape our own beliefs, behaviors, relationships, and everyday choices. If we are committed to building a more just and liberated society, we must also be willing to examine ourselves.

Rooted in the wisdom of Black feminist thought, this workshop explores the self as a critical site of transformation. Together, we will examine how systems of oppression influence our understanding of identity, power, and community, and how we can move from awareness to action in our personal and collective lives.

Participants will explore three interconnected themes: reclaiming consciousness by understanding how systems of inequality shape our world; confronting self-concept by examining our own relationship to power, privilege, and harm; and building a practice of self-r/evolution by aligning our actions with our values.

Through reflection, discussion, and interactive activities, participants will be challenged to consider what it means to become the people we claim to be and how personal transformation can contribute to broader social change.

This workshop is an invitation to engage the ongoing work of liberation—not only by changing institutions, but by transforming ourselves.
